Beach Boulevard — the local name for the stretch of Highway 90 that runs along Biloxi's waterfront — is walkable in sections and easy to drive end to end in under twenty minutes. Guests staying with us often ask what's worth prioritizing if they only have a free afternoon, so here's the short list our concierge desk actually points people toward.

Biloxi Lighthouse

A short walk from the resort, the lighthouse is one of the most recognizable landmarks on this stretch of coast and sits directly in the median of Highway 90. It's a quick stop rather than a destination on its own, but it's worth the ten-minute walk, especially near sunset when the light hits it well.

Ohr-O'Keefe Museum of Art

Designed by Frank Gehry, the museum's cluster of curved metal pods is unlike anything else on the coast, and it's a short drive from the resort. The permanent collection centers on the work of George Ohr, the self-described "Mad Potter of Biloxi," alongside rotating contemporary exhibits.

Maritime & Seafood Industry Museum

A smaller, quieter stop that covers the history of the Gulf Coast's shrimping and oyster industry — genuinely interesting if you've eaten at any of the resort's seafood-forward dining rooms and want the backstory on where it comes from.

Point Cadet Marina

A working marina with charter boats, a small waterfront park, and a good vantage point for watching the shrimp boats come in in the late afternoon. It's also the departure point for several of the sunset sailing excursions we cover in a separate article.

Most of Beach Boulevard's attractions are close enough together that a single afternoon, without a rigid schedule, covers the highlights comfortably.

The Beach Itself

The Mississippi Sound beach running along Highway 90 is public and free, with soft, man-made sand that runs for miles. It's calmer than a typical Gulf-facing beach since the barrier islands offshore cut down on wave action — good for families with young kids, less exciting if you're chasing real waves.

Planning Around It

None of these stops require more than an hour or two, which makes them easy to fit around a spa appointment or dinner reservation rather than needing to build a whole day trip around them.
